‘World Book and Copyright Day is an international and annual book festival
organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural
Organization (UNESCO) that encourages the importance of reading, publishing,
and copyright. For the very first time in history, it was celebrated on April
23, 1995, and continues to be celebrated on the same day. It is not just a
usual holiday but a festival for bibliophiles. It is also a day for promoting
‘Publishing and Copyright.’ That is why World book day is also known as
Copyright day.
